In S3 & S4 you will study a variety of different texts in preparation for your National Qualifications. You will be developing your literacy skills through the study of: novels, poems, plays, films and the media.
The National Qualifications are designed to help you become Successful Learners, Confident Individuals, Effective Contributors andResponsible Citizens.
You will be developing your skills in:
· Reading
o Through the study of lots of different texts;
o By undertaking Close Reading assessments.
· Writing
o By learning how to write creatively, informatively and persuasively!
o By learning how to use language for effect.
· Talking & Listening
o By participating in lots of co-operative learning and group discussion;
o By learning how to deliver a confident solo talk.
